I want to create a bi-directional relationship for a simple product catalogue. To start, lets say I have Product A, Product B, Product C.
At this stage, I can easily use ucomponents Multi-Node Tree Picker to create one way relationship between Product A and Product B. I then installed ucomponents MultiPicker Relations and also installed Relation Types package. I am now unable to form a link between all of these to basically create bidirectional relationships.
What I would ideally want is if I create a relationship in Product A using Multi-Node tree picker with Product B, I should be able to see a Relationship in Product B's multinode tree picker with Product A.
If that is not possible, how can I use all these 3 features to create a bi-directional relationship?
The other confusion is when using relations API, what does document type mean? I simply want to create a bi-directional relationship between two nodes of product pages, what document type should I use? Document, Content Item its a bit confusing?
Alternatively, how can I use ucomponents MultiPicker Relations to create bi-directional relationships between 2 nodes?
I would really appreciate if someone can help me as I've been stuck on this one thing for weeks now.
Hi Waqar did you ever come up with a good solution for this? I am looking for seomthing similar however I only need to make a 1-to-1 bi-directional relationship. Looking for a simple datatype solution so content editors can manage the relationships easily.
Hi Jeroen, yes I thought that - thing is I only want to create a 1-to-1 relationship (two-way). It would ideal if say I could use a standard content picker to manage the relationship. I'll ping Hendy and see what he reckons..

Hi Barry,
Perhaps this datatype can be helpfull: http://ucomponents.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=MultiPickerRelations.
