I was just wondering if there were any plans to release a custom provider for the new Courier v2, so that it can handle the transfer of uComponent data types? (pretty please!!)
I think the core team is working on improvements to allow for easier transition of custom data type data such as ucomponents (especially the datatypes that store data as xml). Data stored as csv seems to be transferred well.
At the moment, the uComponents team don't have bespoke support for Courier on our roadmap. That's not to say that we 'wont' do it, just that no one has said that they want to develop it yet ... so as always, uComponents is a community project ... so if anyone wants to develop it - please be our guest! :-)
With that said, I agree with Dirk, I believe HQ are working on a generic provider for XML-based content.

I'm sure I heard in an Umbraco.tv video that HQ would be working on developing one, but have heard nothing "official" about it.
If anyone wants to develop one, we'd happily bundle it up within uComponents.
