Multiple Textstring & Textstring Array: Add/remove items doesn't do anything

    Hi guys,

I have a brand new Umbraco 4.7.2 install with uComponents 3.1.2 installed.

If I add either data types Multiple Textstring or Textstring Array, the + or - buttons don't work to add or remove rows.

    I tested this on Chrome 20.0.1132.47 m, IE 8 and FF 10.0.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,

     - Nick

Hi Nick, welcome to the forum!

I am using Textstring Array on a current project, (Umbraco 4.7.2 and uComponents 3.1.2), which the plus/minus buttons work fine in Chrome 20, Firefox 13 and IE9 (also tested in IE8-compat-mode).

Do you see any other JavaScript errors in your browser? (e.g. Chrome dev tools or Firefox's Firebug)

    Thanks, Lee.

    Hey Lee,

Thanks loads for replying so quick!

Hrmmm I'm guessing my setup isn't as standard as I think then...

These buttons using Ajax or client side only? Getting some ajax errors on my install:

    1. Uncaught Error: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load. dashboard.aspx:40
    1. Uncaught ReferenceError: Sys is not defined dashboard.aspx:56
    1. Uncaught ReferenceError: umbraco is not defined umbraco.aspx:322

Okay I just checked with a brand new install and it all worked fine (and I saw a re-order button as well which isn't there on other install.)

The other install has mvc added to the project as of Aaron Powell's method: http://www.aaron-powell.com/umbraco/using-mvc-in-umbraco-4

I guess this has screwed up ajax on the install - I'll dig deeper.

    Hi Nick,

Thanks for letting me know.  Hope you get to the bottom of the issue.  If there is anything we can add/include with uComponents to workaround the issue, do let me know.

    Cheers, Lee.
