I have a handful of clients starting to show interest for uMarketingSuite.. ;)
The sites I build make heavily use of Block List and while I can make variants easily, it will become some what of a management nightmare to maintain variants of a block list with 30+ elements when the actual variations are in one or two elements. Is it in any way possible to only target a single element as a variant?
Regarding your question, this is unfortunately not possible because Umbraco variants are always on page level. An alternative would be to use the ContentBlocks package. In the latest version it is possible in combination with uMarketingSuite to personalize on block level.

I am indeed looking at ContentBlocks for a new site that I'm building.. but it is not an option for the existing ones. I was just thinking that since you can enable segmentation on element types, there was a way to make this possible...

It seems that uMarketingSuite.ContentBlocks is only available for umbraco 8.. any plans on releasing this for umbraco 9?
