there is no diffrence in how this role provider works between 4.7.1 and 4.11.x - the provider overrides the core asp.net WindowsRole provder , i don't think there have been any major changes to how the members are implimented in umbraco between the versions, so we haven'ty added any features.
Optimal Umbraco Version for Implementing AD
Are there any compelling reasons for upgrading from 4.71 to 4.11.x in terms of making the implementation of AD easier. ie. bug fixes, features etc.
