I am just trying the package and am wondering why the "Hidden" field type is hidden by your install / config? Is there something that you include that replaces it?
we've got a lot of questions from our clients what this field does and why it was included. And I don't see much use for this field in 99,9% of our forms, so we've decided to hide it :)
But you can simply turn it back on by editing the config-file; /App_Plugins/PerplexUmbracoForms/PerplexUmbracoForms.config.
Yes, I see that I can enable it again (by the way, is there a reason why the config file is not in the "config" folder?).
Also - just a comment really - but adding this package after forms have been created does add extra work. Of course, all of the forms use elements like "short answer" and "long answer", so I either need to re-enable them or (and) redefine the relevant form fields.
Still, the file upload field - the main reason I installed the package - looks to be working great!! :-)
By the way - I usually use the hidden field to pass information that will be useful / required by those that use the submitted form data, but is data that would not be entered by the person submitting the form.
Why is hidden type hidden

Hey Jeffrey,
Please allow me to step into this old thread. I also installed the Perplex package, and I also set the hidden field to not be hidden.
Unfortunately it doesn't appear in the list of available field types. What could be the reason for this?
Thanks! Simeon
Maybe a change in the web.config to restart the website?
Thanks, this helped! :)
Best, Simeon

Hi Gordon,
it's true that it adds some extra work if you have forms already in place, but from now on this package is the first one you install, isn't it ;)?
Have a wonderful day,
Jeffrey
