First, I am the project manager for http://surgery.ucsf.edu/ site below which runs on Umbraco.  We have been using uMultiDelete All Children Context Menu Item and it has been an outstanding find.

 In addition to deleting multiple nodes, an undocumented feature has enabled us to identify hundreds of nodes that are not functioning correctly in our database (nodes that do not return a node filepath on rollover). Deleting those phantom nodes has accurately updated their status in the database to deleted.

We have also enhanced the package by allowing restriction to parent node (vs. entire site) via a checkbox and will be providing the code to Simon Steed the developer.
