This may be a bit of a stretch of a commitment to pile ontop of the other 37++projects i'm excited about, hopefully starting a new fork won't be too much work.
In case i forget to come back with updates and anybody cares to look or help - it's forked here, fyi. i've got an umbraco7 branch started with updated refs to u7 and usutebuilder2.
I've resolved the initial build errors, next up is modernizing + functionality.

This was indeed a bit of effort and is effort in spots that Umbraco has been pretty active in lately (think Document Type Compositions) so is back-burnered for a little bit.
