We made this package to fit a specific need for a client to be able to just upload images from the camera without modifying them first. The file resizing/shrinking had to be done on the server to conserve space. I was looking at using the Gecko Uploadify package but was not aware of the possibilities of hooking into media events at that time ;) The size/dimension settings can't be changed atm, but source code is downloadable as a VS project for anyone to modify as needed.

Nice to see that there's another upload datatype in Umbraco. Is there a reason that you created another one? You could also use these packages:

Gecko Uploadify
The resizing is new, but you can also do that in the media events in those packages.
Does this uploader supports custom media types?
