How is it different compared to Macro Container?

    Hi

The Widget Picker data type sounds really cool, but it seems like to be the same as the build-in Macro Container data type.

    How is it different?

PS Please upload some screenshots :-)

    /Christian

    Hi Christian,

Yeah it is very similar to the Macro Container that comes with umbraco, but I felt that the Macro Container didn't look very good.

So I built the Widget Picker with the help of an old project Macro Picker and I used the front end of my MultiType datatype.

There are some screenshots on the project page. Screenshots

Oh and soon I will be allowing the editor to change the order of the "Widgets" (Macros) which you can't do with the Macro Container. Edit: Sorry, you can reorder the Macros with the Macro Container.

    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi Ben

Yeah, I did find the screenshots, after posting :-) Looks really well.

I have used the Macro Container with big pleasure for some time. And you can actually change the order of macroes.

And you are right the Macro Container is not pretty and It can be a little buggy when it comes to checkboxes and changing order. I will definitely try your package.

    Thanks,

I only just realised you can reorder the Macro Container. Oh well I guess the only difference is the interface for the editor then.

I imagine there will be a few things I haven't tested for so this may be a little buggy too but if you find anything just let me know.

    Thanks again.
    Ben
