    What's best way to upgrade Merchello

    Umbraco 7

    Hi,

    I installed Merchello 1.8.1 package thru developer section in Umbraco. With version 1.8.3 I downloaded the upgrade files (at this moment can't find where to download them anymore) and copied all file from the zip to my project.

    Now the Merchello section says version 1.8.3 and at Installed packages I see version is 1.8.1

    What is the best way to upgrade the Merchello package?

    Hi Onno,

    Are you seeing the 1.8.1 when you look under developer->packages->installed packages?

    That references an XML file located in /App_Data/Packages/Installed and is not something that package developers often (if ever) update when upgrading. A couple of years ago I brought this up at CG and found the general consensus to be that it is not really worth the effort.

    Let me know if I misread your question.
