    Tutorials?

I dont know if Im missing something but Im trying to use Merchello and cannot find any decent information out there. The documentation doesn't really have any examples of how to use it and I cant seem to figure out the Bazzar demo? Where are the views etc?

Ive created a few products and Im just trying to get them to appear on a page in a list, surely it cant be that hard if others are doing it? Is there a simple 'how to' example I can follow?

    Hey Tony,

    Have you read through http://merchello.readme.io?

The views for the Bazaar are located in /App_Plugins/Merchello.Bazaar/theme/

You can create your own theme by copying the included them and renaming the folder. Then on the root "Store" content page in the Umbraco back office -> Theme tab -> drop down the select box and set your theme.

Are you having problems getting the Bazaar installed?

I have bazaar installed but have it just on a temp hosting, when I look at the partials folder or look at doc types there are no templates associated with them. There is nothing about themes in the documentation? I was expecting to see templates etc in the views folders to see example code on the server.

    Hey Tony,

Yes, that is a common issue people have about the Themes approach. You'd experience the same issue with the Articulate blog package which is where we got the inspiration for it.

Unfortunately, editing plugin based Theme views is not currently supported by Umbraco. I also think it's "falling out of Vogue" to offer themes through plugins. Sort of a great idea that never took off. We are planning a new starter kit that will not use themes, but that won't be ready for a while (4 to 6 weeks probably).

Yeah, Ive not seen that approach before, is there any way I can see any of the code as its being done via nightlies or something. Im due to start the ecommerce portion of the website Im building and it would be very helpful. Or is all the code in the themes effectivly?

Checkout the Bazaar solution. It's done that way in that build.
