Set product with variants to be non-shippable

    Hi,

I have a number of products in my Merchello store. Some of them have variants and some of them are non-shippable. If I untick the shippable box on a product without variants then it all seems to work fine, but on a product that does have variants, if I go through each variant and untick the shippable box, and then untick the shippable box on the main product, the product still shows as shippable in the products list.

I've tried doing this in various orders (unticking the main one first, then variants, and vice versa) but haven't managed to find a combination that works. This morning I tried it with a different product and got to the stage where the Shippable column in the product list showed 'some', which I hadn't seen before, but after a refresh it went back to showing 'Yes' even though the main product and all variants have the shippable box unticked.

Is this a bug or am I missing something? Is it something I can fix in the database manually?

    Cheers,

    Crac

After a bit more testing this issue seems to affect the back office only - the shop identifies that the product isn't shippable and doesn't require the user to select a shipping method.

The back office is still doing something flaky though.

    Any ideas?

That makes sense and is an oversight. The back office would only read from the product in the listing since there is no code at this point to say "mixed" or whatever - similar to the price ranges.

Would you mind putting this as a UI issue in the issue tracker?

    No problem.
