uApe BackOffice Wiki

This package was developed to enable content editors and Umbraco back office users to share private information and processes securely in the same environment they manage their website content.

The package maybe useful for developers to leave notes for content editors, or even just give a nice branding touch to your work.

The Wiki is completely contained in a single tab, on the root node of the content section, and only uses XML to store data, removing the requirement of a specific database (such as SQL Server).

The package adds a configuration file, allowing permissions to be finely defined based on Umbraco "User Types", and if you just need to show a single Wiki page, you can disable navigation and breadcrumbs from there.

The Wiki system is made up from 4 screens ..

• Display - The rendered Wiki page.
• Edit - The UI for editing Wiki pages in Markdown.
• New Page - The UI for creating new Wiki pages.
• Category Editor - For creating, deleting categories and sorting all content.

Note: Always back up the App_Data/backofficewiki.config file before uninstalling, or upgrading the Wiki package in an Umbraco instance.

Note: Not currently compatible with Umbraco 7.0.0.
