RTEs in the Content Management tab are missing (clean install on umbraco 4.8)

    Hello there again!

I just installed a blank umbraco 4.8 instance with SqlCE using WebMatrix moments ago, then installed the uKnowledgeBase_0.81.zip file I downloaded earlier.  I also followed the instructions about modifying the Node ID's in the Developer / datatypes, as well as the macro params in the masterpage templates (but I don't think this is related.) I have not installed any other packages or done anything differently besides this.

The problem I have now is that none of the RTEs are showing up when I try to edit an article (a.k.a. KB Item). In the Content Management tab, Environment, Summary, and Solution are blank. (I am using the latest version of Firefox, v14.0.1.)

    Here's a screenshot:

I thought I had seen another thread or two somewhere in these forums about other people losing their TinyMCE editors after an upgrade---not sure if this is related, but I installed directly from 4.8 so there was no upgrade involved. I also of course don't recall what their solutions might have been.

Thank you for your time! Am still excited to see this in action once these kinks are worked out.

Trying to troubleshoot this a bit more, I created a new document type of my own, and added three properties to it:  the built-in TinyMCE richtext editor, and then two of the RTEs/RTFs that come with uKnowledgeBase.  When i created a new document in my Content tree, only the built-in editor was appearing.

But checking the data types, they are all using the same TinyMCE v3 wywsiwg Render Control, so not sure what the difference here might be.

    Weird!

Try replacing one of the editors created by the package with the standard rich text editor and see if that appears.

I've not tested on 4.8 at all so it could be related to the Tiny MCE bugs others have encountered - let me know how it goes

Resolution found, thanks to this forum post and same issue here in codeplex.

Answer is to edit each datatype and ensure "enable context menu" is checked. (Then refresh your browser.)

Now, ... off to play with uKnowledgeBase finally!
