Asset Compressor

Offroadcode's latest package utilises the Yahoo YUI compression tools to compress your CSS and Javascript on the fly, caches it for performance and allows you to combine multiple files into one HTTP request along with other best practise goodies.

So its like ClientDependancy then? No. Its easier to use, no .net knowledge required and uses best practice compression and combining. Give it a whirl, you might like it.

This package was mentioned in the UK Umbraco Festival talk (http://umbracoukfestival.co.uk/speakers/#pete-duncanson) if you've watched it.

Why should you use it?

It is pretty much set and forget. Where ever you have a script or link tag you just make a little change to the url and we do the rest for you.

Config

There is no config! We prefer the convention over configuration option for coding so we've picked some sensible defaults for you.

Please see the attached documentation for plenty of examples and more details.

Yet another of our many best practise tools for helping developers make better websites, check out our other packages including DocTypeMixins, XSLTouch and XSLToJson.
