Hey all,

I'm currently using Autofolders on a site in two areas; Events & News.... all was going fine after setting up the events section; folders were being created correctly according to my doctypes date field with no problems whatsoever.

Problems started though once I went to setup my News area....I made sure I followed the same steps as before, creating the new doctypes for the folders and pages that were all referenced correctly. There were no errors with doctype names or anything like that, no spaces where there shouldnt've been. It should've worked the same as the events section.....however when creating a new news node the folders refused to work.... it was simply creating the node as it would normally with no folders....

After many hours of tinkering with the autofolders.config file and forum searching, I tried simply commenting out parts of the autofolders.config code (critical parts) and yet the events section still worked and the news section did not. I tried 'republishing the entire site' many times with no change. Finally I commented out the enitre autofolders.config file...and still one worked and the other didn't, and yes, I had republished the site.....very confusing....

After all that what solved it was simple....I moved the autofolders.dll file out of the bin, and then back into it again....it then all worked suddenly....

I don't know if this fix/trick would be immediately obvious to everyone, so I'd thought I'd post it for reference, may save people a few hours of hair pulling......
