Installs fine \ CMSImport not visible in Developer

I have tried to install 4.6.1 and I don't have anything in the developer section. I have logged out and back in and there are no errors in the event log. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi Shannon

Can you see the three DLL's in the bin folder, where the name starts with CMSImport?

Looking back over the install, everything installs correctly but there isn't a link for the installation wizard inside of the Dev section. I can click the link after the install that guides me to the installation wizard but there just isn't a link in the dev section that I can go back to.

    Hi,

You have to logout and do an IISReset then it should be in the developer section. I've created workitem http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/29960 for this.

Thanks for reporting the missing file in the free version. I'll remove this for the next release but shouldn't be an issue. If logging out and an IIS reset doesn't work please check that cmsImport records exist in the AppTree table, if they 'don't exist. perform a manual install as documented in the manual http://www.cmsimport.com/documentation.aspx

    Cheers,

    Richard

That did it, thanks. I am currently using Community Server 2007. Do you have any SQL scripts I could run to import both blog post and members into Umbraco?

You sure that you cannot just recycle pool?

I just tried and it worked as well - thing is that not many has the "power" to do an iisreset! However recycling the pool is more accessible in the end :) (oh and I did not log out but it worked and I did a reload nodes and then it showed up)

On my windows 2k3 iis6 2cpu (2.6ghz each) and with 4gig mem it's quite slow importing around 200 rows (around 11 minutes). Is that normal?

    Thanks

    Hi Scott,

Only restarting the APP pool gave me some issues as well. Regarding performance. It;s not normal that it takes 11 minutes. should be less than a minute. Lot of sites on that machine?

    Cheers,

    Richard
