Was me being lame. Re opened in notepad++ initially i was setting encoding to utf-8 that didnt work. Instead i did convert to utf-8 then saved and re did import and it works. No matter how many times i use cmsimport i cannot fail to be impressed its such a slick package.

Which version are you using. should be solved in 1.0.3. Also make sure the file is saved as UTF-8.
