Issues with foreign characters in import set

    Richard,

I have created a csv file for import it contains lorem ipsum text in french and has french characters.  I created the file using notepad++ when i do the import all works fine however in 2 of my fields which are of type textstring and simpletext edit the foreign characters are imported as

Not sure if this is short coming of the editor i am using or the field types or a bug with cms import?

    Regards

    Ismail

    Hi Ismail,

Which version are you using. should be solved in 1.0.3. Also make sure the file is saved as UTF-8.

    Hope it helps you,

    Richard

    Richard,

Was me being lame.  Re opened in notepad++ initially i was setting encoding to utf-8 that didnt work.  Instead i did convert to utf-8 then saved and re did import and it works.  No matter how many times i use cmsimport i cannot fail to be impressed its such a slick package.

    Regards

    Ismail
