Will write a news article about that soon. Short answer it is coming and since everything in CMSImport is Razor by then and using the latest API's it should not be that much work to convert. But made the mistake before to convert products before a real release of Umbraco was done and resulted in changing API code over and over. So development starts when V8 is released.
