    CMS Import content audit trials issue

    Using CMSImport
    Umbraco 7

    Hi,

    I am trying to use CMS Import to transfer content from an existing Umbraco site into a newly created Umbraco site. The old site was running v7.7.8 and the new site runs on v7.15.3. These content are articles that are pretty much all text and images - with a combination of standard text fields, media picker and macros. I have the full version of CMS Import and we are able to successfully import the text and other simple fields but I am having trouble with audit trials.

    Does CMS Import fetch the audit trials while importing the articles and if not is there any provision where we can get the audit trails while importing

    Hi Zaheed,

    Audit trails are not supported by CMSImport. I don't think this will work because you need all history of the content item which will not be available at the target site since it only has one version.

    Thanks, Richard for your reply. So is there anyway we can import the articles along with Audit trails as CMSImport doesn't support. Any suggestion or help highly appreciated.

    Hi Zaheed,

    Then you need all versions as well. Don't think that's possible..
