CMSImport Error - Clarification of CMSImport Limitations
Hi,
I am trying to evaluat CMSimport as it seems to be the best of a small bunch of import tools out there. I have a sample database of what I think is 160 records (there are 160 rows in my CSV file) There are 2 languages (UK and Germany) and when I try to do an import it stops with a message that I have reached the limit:
Duration
00:00:24
Records in datasource 46
Records added 45
Errors
The amount of records in the datasource exceeded the Trial License limit. Buy a Pro license to lift this limit.
So what is a record? Is there some confusion because I have two languages? The content for both languages are in the same row (titleUK and titleDE for example).
Or am I reading the restrictions all wrong? my understanding was that you could import 500 records?
It's the total amount of imported items that gets calculated not the single batch. More than happy to send you a trial license to see if CMSImport can help you. Mail [email protected] if you are interested in that.
I'm also wondering how the total amount of imported items is calculated for the Trial version.
I have a small batch of accounts that I tried importing to my production environment right after installing the package and I've run into the same message as above with the same values (46 in datasource / 45 imported).
What you describe is how I'm understanding the trial calculations, however, it presents me with that message even after a new package install on a new production environment.
Shouldn't the import calculations be zero in this scenario?

Hi Craig,
It's the total amount of imported items that gets calculated not the single batch. More than happy to send you a trial license to see if CMSImport can help you. Mail [email protected] if you are interested in that.
Best,

Thanks for the reply, still not 100% sure of how it works? but I would appreciate a trial license please and have sent you an email.
Thanks, Craig
Greetings,
I'm also wondering how the total amount of imported items is calculated for the Trial version.
I have a small batch of accounts that I tried importing to my production environment right after installing the package and I've run into the same message as above with the same values (46 in datasource / 45 imported).
I appreciate any further insight.
Take care,

Hi Brian,
A total items of imported records is calcultated not just the current batch.
Best,
Richard
Thanks for the quick reply.
