I created an import task in CMSImport Pro, that has an XML file as its data source.
If I update the XML source file and "execute" the import task, or update the XML source file and schedule an import to occur, the changes in the XML source file are not picked up; as though it is caching the original XML.
If I open the import task and repoint the file source in the wizard to the XML source file, it *does* catch the changes and imports appropriately.
Do you use the upload field or did you point to an url. When you use the upload field you will be always importing the same item until you upload a new file (Make sure you save it again when you want to use the Execute context menu, otherwise it is still using the old file).
When you point to an url the xml file is cached for 10 minutes indeed . The cache will be cleared when you execute the import. So the work around is to always execute the import item first before putting a new file on that location.
Hope this helps you and if not p[lease let me know.
XML Docs to import caching?
Hi Richard,
I created an import task in CMSImport Pro, that has an XML file as its data source.
Is this a known issue?
How can I work around it?
thanks
Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
Do you use the upload field or did you point to an url. When you use the upload field you will be always importing the same item until you upload a new file (Make sure you save it again when you want to use the Execute context menu, otherwise it is still using the old file).
