Importing XML from a URL. I save my steps as a task to be able to schedule, but each time I revisit the saved task, I must reenter the URL to the XML. Is this expected?
I can confirm this is a bug. It's solved in 2.0 which will be released pretty soon. The value is stored so you can use it in a scheduled task. Only when you edit the item you must re-enter the value. Sorry about that.
Client was told they would be able to ftp ther file to a folder, and update will occur nightly, but in the meantime I'll have to manually execute imports...
And what's the upgrade policy for paid customers of version 1? New purchase, or upgrade included in price?
You can ftp the file to the folder as the client was told. The bug is in the edit screen not in any other functionality, you don't need to manually execute imports because scheduled import will work.
CMSImport 2.0 will be released within the next couple of weeks. normal upgrade policy is 90 days but since it is delayed every customer who bought the license after Janurayy 1st this year will get a free update.
Import URL not "sticking" in saved task
Hi Richard,
Importing XML from a URL. I save my steps as a task to be able to schedule, but each time I revisit the saved task, I must reenter the URL to the XML. Is this expected?
Thanks
Jonathan
