    Server License / Local Dev

    Hi Richard,

First of all great work on the CMSImport! We used it for a small site and it works great. We are now getting a license for a site and was just wondering if we buy a server license would that also allow us to develop locally? For example the domain license allows us to work locally and on the server as well. Most of the time we would configure things locally and on the production server we would use it for recurring updates.

    Thanks

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks and yes server licenses works the same as a domain license. You can specify a local, staging and production Ip adresses.

    Hope this helps you.

    Best,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Great stuff! I didnt think it would work like that and I have just purchased a single domain license (oops!) but will know for next time. We do get quite a lot of sites where we need to import so the server license would make most sense for us.

    Thanks again,

    Kenny

    Hi Richard,

We have just bought a server license for CMS import and set up the 3 IP addresses with the local ip being 127.0.0.1. We downloaded the license file and put in the bin folder but we are still setting the free version banner and none of the pro version features.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for the purchase Try IIS reser and otherwise I think you need the internal address of the machine. Can you send me that one to richard[at]soetemansoftware.nl then I can update the license file for you.

    Thanks,

    Richard
