transferring import definitions from dev > production
Hi,
I'm wondering if there is any easy way to transfer the (quite complicated) import definitions I've created on my dev machine to our staging and production servers? Ideal would be something that worked via Courier, as in the Contour provider that allows Contour forms to be transferred, but open to any ideas!
Not sure exactly where the import definitions are stored?
Nice suggestion for a future release to support courier but for now you can transfer the following table CMSImportState It will give you some errors if Id's are different. I assume the alias of documenttypes are the same between the environments?
Ah yes that's where they are! Fantastic, thankyou!
Thinking this through, in this case I think I will probably Courier over the imported content rather than the import definitions, but its really useful to know how to do this when I need to in the future.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: CMSImport is a pleasure to use, and the support you provide is top notch.

HI James,

Hope this helps you for now.
Thanks,
Richard
