No unfortunately not. Would be awesome if it could do it but it will fail because of all the different datatypes and you will have many broken links etc. i think it's possible using Courier?
I'd like to do this as well. I have inherited an old Umbraco 4 site which I need to completely rebuild in Umbraco 6 changing all the doc types. However if I could import the content from the old site (changing doc types) to the new site that would be a help. Is there no way to export an Umbraco site to a suitable format to import via cmsImport?
Importing content from old Umbraco website
Hello Richard,
Would it be possible to use CMSimport to import content from an old Umbraco 4.x website to a brand new Umbraco 6.x website?

Hi Dan,
Maybe you can try this tool to export the data and get it in using CMSimport? our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/eyecatch-xml-export
Thanks,
Richard
