We are working with a Sitecore to Umbraco migration and want to know how best we can use CMSImport for data migration. I read your comment here about the topic and want to know how easy and effcient it was to do this
Been a few releases of CMSImport (1.1 )ago but I did use the Sitecore XML export indeed. For some reason I first got it all in sql. I think this was because Structured import didn't exists in CMSImport then. I think it cost me a day or 2 to set things up. Most difficult was to understand the format of the Sitecore file. Which I already forgot again.
And I did program a few things to import media. But I think that will work out of the box now if relative paths are available.
In conclusion it didn't came out of the box but when knowing the structure it was pretty straight forward.

Did you able to import entire website contents using cmsimport through Sitecore to XML to Umbraco?
Hi,

Hope this helps, if not please let me know.
Thanks,
