error when mapping to property with MNTP Data Type

    Hi Richard,

I'd like to import a series of images, formatted as a comma seperated list in a column of an .xls. Destination is a property with MNTP (media) data type.

During the import I receive the following error message:

Error while importing data for property 'multiimage', datasource record ID = '2', Error :The given key was not present in the dictionary.

To trouble shoot, I also added an 'upload' type property to the destination document type and removed all of the image URLs from the list in the datasource except for one. Imported without error.

I tried to import the same single image to the MNTP field and received the error above once again.

If there is another way to achieve the same end result (with or without MNTP), I'd be interested to know.

I read a previous post on MNTP with suggestions of a FieldProvider, but don't know if that is what I need or how to do it!

Thanks for any help you can provide. (version 2.5.2 / U7)

    Best regards,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Did you select the plus sign and add the media options, looking at the error message I think not?

    Best,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Sorry... my first post seemed long so I removed the section about the advanced options.

When I click the green plus sign 'additional mapping options for this column' I see only the option for the default value. I don't see the box like on page 26 of the manual - with the nice instructions and media location selection.

    Default value
Specify a default value that will be used in case the assigned value is null

Perhaps there is something wrong with the Data Type that I created?

Many thanks for your help. Steve

    That explains,

Could you check the alias of the datatype? There must be some mismatch on that. If you can send me a screenshot of that I will have a look why you don't see those options. These options are needed otherwise CMSImport can't import the media.

Sorry you ran into this issue.

    Best,

    Richard

    Hi Steve,

I thought I had every single Media picker working in V7 but this one slipped through, sorry. I am working on a fix now and will post a link to the updated package when finished. Will be within a few hours.

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Best,

    Richard

    Richard,

Fantastic - thanks for working on this so quickly. When working with the MNTP it will be a lifesaver. I have 8 years worth of old news items with images to import, then the product catalog - no way to do that all manually!

Shall I look for the link here or on soetemansoftware.nl ?

    Thanks again - Steve

    Hi Steve,

Below you can download the new version that adds support for media MNTP (Hope i have all picker now :)). Just install over the current one. The package installer will take care of the update.

Sorry you ran into this issue and have fun importing the 8 year old archive!
