    Import content and media from another Umbraco installation

    Using CMSImport

    Hi,

    Is it possible to use CMS Import to import content and media from another Umbraco installation?

    Hi Amir,

    Currently not out of the box. This will be possible in V3 but is still in development. What you can try is to export content with this package. http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/eyecatch-xml-export

    Then create a copy importimage in the new structure, copy the media folder of the old site to the importimage folder and update the mediaImportLocation element in /umbraco/plugins/cmsimport/config/cmsimport.config to importimage/ then try cmsimport based on the exported xml. It's only possible in PRO but I can give you a trial license to try if you like? contact [email protected] in that case.

    Hi Richard,

    Is this now available in V7 with CMS Import V3? If so, can you provide any notes or point me in the right direction? Also, is it possible to maintain the media folder structure?
