Fields Not Automatically Mapping With Pro?

    Hi

I have just bought a licence for cmsimport so I can use it with excel files. When I was using the free version with a csv, when my columns were named the same as my Document properties it automatically mapped.

I have got my column names the same as the property aliases and now it's not mapping. Have I done something wrong or does this not work with Excel files and Pro?

    Hi Bex,

This should also work with excel. Make sure in Excel that the first column contains the alias or name and make sure no formatting is applied to the sheet. In the past this caused issues in the Excel component.

    Best,

    Richard

I have removed the formatting. It's first row is the column aliases, although my first column is the "name" so is called name.

It's still not doing it though! Any thing else I can check?

Weird, try NodeName that is the real alias. But manual mapping works right?

Hi Sorry not been near a computer all week. Yes the mapping are working manually. The Name is now automatically doing it, but is the only one!! ??

If it helps I can send you an example to test?

If alias is the same it should automap, using it here also but you can always send a test sample

Most of my excel column names are the same as the property alias's and it's not auto-mapping. I'm either totally missing something or it's not working! Do you have an email I can send you details?

Sure [email protected] is the email address and love to see what's going on since I use Excel all the time for testing without issues.
