Installed CMSImport Pro locally to import content. Then pushed the site up to Umbraco Cloud. CMSImport isn't really needed now but if I try to open the CMS Import node in the Developer section in either the Local, Dev or Staging Cloud sites I get a huge red pane full of errors that disappears after a few seconds. Also the log files are filling up with
CMSImport:Error executing scheduled import
System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeException (0x80004005): The specified table does not exist. [ CMSImportScheduledTask ]
I understand CMSImport doesn't work with SQLCE which is why the local version errors, now I switched the site to the Umbraco Cloud SQLCE DB.
My questions are:-
Is CMS Import compatible with Umbraco Cloud?
Is it safe to uninstall CMSImport?
Does it leave any files behind that need to be manually
deleted?
CMSImport is compatible with cloud buit shoudl be installed on all instances. You can uninstall cmsimport indeed but I would advice to check web.config first to make sure there are no cmsimport entries in there since the uninstaller will probably leave them and that will cause a 500 error. After that Scheduled task check will stop indeed.
