    importing into 8 from v7

    I am looking to import quite a few news items from a v7 site into umbraco8. I know v8 compatible cmsimport is not out yet but in theory it should be able to import into v8 from v7 with the CmsImport Umbraco data provider?

    Once cmsimport V4 and a compatible dataprovider is out, yes then it should be possible indeed.

    Do you have a rough timeline for release or CMSImport v4 and the Umbraco adapter?

    Plan is to have CMSImport ready this summer/early fall. But I am not sure if the Umbraco provider is done directly with this release since it contains a lot of functionality itself that needs to be updated as well.
