    Database connection initialisation failed.

    Questions, etc

    Petr,

    I have followed your instructions and cannot get past the database page on the configuration wizard.

    Is there something else I need to do?

    I don't try it with umbraco 5, but it should work with 4.7.1

    You must have SQL Express installed, and modify permissions for asp.net account on app_data folder.

    Petr,

    I am using 4.7.1.1.

    Sql Express is installed and permission are correct. It turns out the problem was your version of SQL (which I downloaded) didn't match mine.

    If I create a db in SQL and then detatch and use that it works fine.
