    import after export...possible?

    hello...

    I have few questions...

    can I export whole media section through this package?

    also, once exported media section from my testing server, can I import it to actual production server?

    Hey,

    Yea, you should be able to export the whole media section. To re-import I'd just use something like Zip Upload http://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/zip-upload, or extract the files and use Desktop Media Uploader (Comes pre-installed in Umbraco 4.7)

    Hello I am trying to export the media content but I get this error: Access to the path '......exportmedia\handlers' is denied.

    Do you know how can I give the correct permission or the give the correct settings with users

    I have read some post but I have not been able to fix this

    Thank you

    Hi, I have installed the Export package, and it only works for Media subfolders. When you right click on the main Media node, there is no Export option. However when you right click on a Media/Subfolder it works. I have an issue though, that there are image files in the root of Media, and these won't Export. Also, I have a Subfolder called Images, and this won't Export either.

    I am using 4.7.1 too.

    cheers

    Rory

    Hey all, I'm not sure what the verb for this is, but I did that "rm App_Data/umbraco.config;touch web.config" (in cygwin, flavor to taste for your environment) to see Export Media in action. Also, like Rory, I only see the export option on subfolders, but that's a bone I'll take.
