It probably won't work with v7 yet because the Hybrid Framework also comes with a lot of packages (which contain datatypes) that aren't compatible on v7. It also has extension methods for those packages again so things like that won't work yet.
Once v7.1 is out (with things like an improved Media Picker and Image Cropper) I'll also start using v7 and I'll make a new version of the Hybrid Framework with full focus on v7.
The Model/Controller part will probably stay the same with some small improvements.
