This really sounds like a usefull package, so i took it for a run :-)
On a 4.9.1 test site, running from VS2012, i installed tha package, and played around with a css, javascript, razor and xslt file.
When clicken on setting rootnode, and selecting the uBackup tab, it only shows:
Stylesheets
Javascripts
Xslt and Razor is missing.
When i look in the /app_data/uBackup folder i see:
script
stylesheet
xslt
There are actually 4 different versions of a file in the XSLT folder, but it not being shown (4 version because i played around).
Razor scripts are completly missing :-(
If i select the 'Javascript og Stylesheet' on the uBackup tab, there is no 'up' link so i have to select something other than the root node and go back. The same if i have selected a file and is shown the different versions, no 'Up' link. When i select actuall content of a file, there is a 'Back to version list' link.
Hope you can use my input, looking forward to your reply :)
Thank you for your suggestion, I will add the feature to go back into the next version of uBackup that you should see available very soon. Just for a note, I will add an upgrade package for anyone already using uBackup so be sure to install the upgrade package on top the installed package (no need to uninstall anything!).

I will look into anything that it could be in my code. Can you try something for me in your set up of Umbraco? Hopefully I can solve this for you asap.
Have you got anything like Firebug for Firefox or Google Chrome, often accessible through F12? Could you load the network tab (where you see resources being loaded), when you click 'Save' in the Razor editor you should see an API call to uBackup, can you tell me if it brings back a 500 error or even if it calls it at all?
If it doesn't call it, can you try installing again? Otherwise, when running Umbraco through Visual Studio, it often runs through IIS Express, can you allow full control of the app_data folder for the IIS Express user?

I just tried with a clean Umbraco 4.10.1 install and the newest uBackup, and it works fine.
Not sure what the problem was, but at least it is working now :)
