I've just started looking into this - made some inroads for another package I maintain and then planned to move onto this one.
Can't make any promises on timing yet - still figuring out really what's changed and the best way to manage supporting V7 and V8. But certainly hope to get this updated such that can support V8.
Thanks for updating the package, Andy. I haven't used Umbraco Mapper before, but the concept sounds great, and I'm interested in trying it out. Are there any tutorials or information you recommend for someone new?
It's good to know that you're committed to keeping it relevant as Umbraco continues to evolve.
Would suggest take a look at the readme at GitHub. Also you could look at the test web application that's part of the source code - there's some examples there (very contrived and far more complex than you'd need in real-life - just as I'm using it to test all the use cases!).
Couple of blog posts I've written over the years here and here too.
And by others: here (some time ago) and here (quite recent).
Wondering if there are plans to update this package to work with v8?
Hi. I think this is a great package. Are there any plans to get it working with Umbraco v8?

I've released package updates today to add support for version 8. Be interested in any feedback if you had chance or reason to try it out.
For details of the release, see this blog post.
