As far as I remember you have to add your datatype into your destination umbraco install manually, this project just picks up the unique datatype guid from the source project database directly.
So as long as the datatype is installed / configured the same on both sites it should just work.
non standard datatypes
This package looks awesome. Quick question though how does it deal with non standard datatypes eg uComponents?

I'm pretty sure it deals with them ok.
I must stress I've not used this code much, I thought I was going to need it for an existing project but we ended up using Courier.
Hence I've not tested this much, however as I said some people have already used it successfully.
The code is pretty simple so should be easy to tweak if needed.
