We are currently trying the Diplo Dictionary Editor to import language translations. It seems to work, however if the site is restarted (IIS restart) before any changes to the Dictionary content is subsequently changed via Umbraco, all of the Dictionary content reverts to that held in the uSync files.
The Diplo developer says he updates the Dictionary directly "it bypasses the Umbraco services (as these aren't made for bulk actions)" and suggested I ask here to find out how uSync determines whether the content needs to be imported or not.
It seems like it's a problem with the Diplo plugin, but I thought I'd ask you the question re "how uSync determines whether to import its data" and then relay that back!
Essentially I bypass the Umbraco services since they don't allow for bulk changing data. However, uSync relies on events raised by these services to create the files it uses to synchronise data. The only way around it, I'm afraid, is to manually save each dictionary item in Umbraco. Sorry for the inconvenience, but there's no way around this.

Hi Gordon,
Yes, it's a known issue that it doesn't work quite correctly with uSync. There's an issue here that explains it more:

Thanks! It's very helpful
Hi Dan, Manually is not very convenient. When is it planned to fix the bug and make the automation?
