Import is slow on some computers

    Hi all,

First of all I really love the this package. Thank you Kevin!

I've never had an issue with import speed before but recently I've been using uSync on a different computer and the import time is taking hours where it would usually take minutes. I've also managed to replicated this on other computers that have been created from the same or similar Windows images.

I wondered, is there a way that I can turn on some verbose logging for uSync, just to see if there's a way to spot where the delay is happening. Its particularly noticeable around the media and content sections, where each item can take a up to ten seconds each. So for a 5000+ node website imports are taking quite a while.

I've noticed this happens on both Umbraco 8 and 9 and I've turned off all kinds of virus scanning etc. just in case the delay is coming from an external source.

If there's a way of making uSync chattier, it may help me spot the issue.

    Thanks! Andy

    Hi Andy,

yes - you can turn debugging on and you should get more..

    http://usync.jumoo.co.uk/docs/8.x/uSync/guides/debugging#turning-on-debug-logging

i wouldn't turn verbose on - it doesn't actually add anything for the core uSync its more for diagnosing connection problems when using publisher.
