    Using uSync Exporter sync-pack between diff uSync versions

    uSync.Complete
    Umbraco 8

    Hi Kevin

    We need to deploy some content with dependencies to our prod environment which is currently running uSync Complete v8.11.8.

    We will use Exporter but the sync-pack will be generated on our dev environment which is running v8.11.12-build.20230125.2.

    Do we need to update prod or will this be okay?

    Hi,

    as long as your not pushing user changes you should be ok. That's the only real change in syncing between the versions

    Hi Kevin

    We have imported all content to live now but we ended up having to run the uSync import (from same sync package) twice.

    After some tests it became evident that the first import had not included everything.

    The second import filled in all the gaps.

    It was importing quite a few nodes 450 changes logged in uSync. It had missed out 20 or so items (nodes and some content i.e node was there but blank).

    As I say the second import cleared everything up but it was a tense few moments :)

    Is this a known issue?
