But the primary question, building a site which has a myriad of things, one of which is a Blog, but there might also be a News section, which will display on a totally different page, there may be 3 or 4 like this.
It has to be segregated though as I can't have them making a Blog post in the same section as say News.
Articulate absolutely works for multiple blogs on a site. Just give it a try, pretty easy to test out, just create an Articulate root node wherever you want and you'll have another blog.

I dont know if this is possible with Articulate however you can definitely do it with uSkinned.

You can create any number of blog landing pages and all listings are independent of each other.
