I am thinking of using the starker kit with azure instance for a local domestic violence charity, will the kit work with azure? Initially i will be using free version so it will be sql ce I guess. The other question its not local gov but it is service oriented so i could take bits i dont need, any comments suggestions most welcome.
Yes it works fine on azure (although I have seen issues on UaaS - but i don't have access so only been told they exist :) ).
the localgovness of it is very light, its more just a service orienated thing, it's built around the idea of gateway/landing pages as the core navigation, the maps are just a version of the gMaps package, and the opening times, are similar.
I've been thinking of making it a bit more generic for v7.2 so it would be cool to get any feedback you have.
Awesome, also i guess ideally you should install it in blank umbraco instance? I have created azure instance and for some reason its installed one of the starterkits.

I think it works on top of a installed starter kit, but it's probably better if the site is completely blank : )
is working on a reply...
