    Version 2

    Hi

This looks a great package. Due to blog4Umbraco not working in 4.7x we're thinking of using uBlogsy for new sites that we develop. How far away is version 2 of being released? Or how stable is the beta version?

The features for version 2 look great and we'd definitely need them for our websites.

    Thanks in advance

    Ben

Beta is not stable. New beta will be up in a matter of days.

    Ok. Thanks.

Do you know when a stable version is likely to be released?

I'm not being pushing, just trying to evaluate whether we should wait or go with latest stable version.

    Thanks

Personally I would go with the current stable version.

Newest beta (to be up soon) is stable from what I can tell. Full release depends on how much community testing and feedback.

Do you know how smooth the upgrade process is likely to be in the future should I release a site with the latest stable version and then upgrade once a 2.x stable version is available?

It will involve packaging up your content nodes, removing the ublogsy, installing the new one, followed by installing your packaged content nodes.

Also will involve 1 or 2 lines of code in each macro script.

Ok, I'll stick with the latest stable release for any new blogs and then make a judgment call whether to upgrade once 2.x is stable.

Thanks for all your help - its a great package.

    Hi Anthony

I've downloaded the source of 1.3.6.1 as I need to make a slight tweak but the source code doesn't contain any dlls that the solution references. I can get the Umbraco dlls from a build but there are a few others that I can't get. Any chance you can add the dlls to the source zip please?

    Thanks in advance

    Which dlls' are missing?

Unless I've missed someting, the references should only be what ever is in the Umbraco bin.

What tweak did you need to make? perhaps you could do it in a razor script as a function instead of calling the ublogsy method?

It was Joel.Net and uHelpsy. No worries, I know how to get them. The tweak was from the post I created

    http://our.umbraco.org/projects/starter-kits/ublogsy/ublogsy-bugs/25572-GetDefaultDictionary

To remove the fields from the Comments doc type but I agree with you now that its not necessary.
