uBlogsy Search not working for capital letters for words in post body
uBlogsy 1.3.6.1 / Umbraco 4.7.1
Weird post title, sorry! We were troubleshooting the uBlogsySearch feature in uBlogsy. It didn't appear to be showing all the right results, so we did a few tests and found out that it searches the title and body of every post and works almost normally. The only exception is that if you're searching for a word that 1) is in the body text and that 2) has a capital letter, it won't appear in the search results.
This seems like a pretty straightforward problem if you are familiar with the way uBlogsy functions - I'll post the answer if I get it before someone else does.
For whatever reason, once we'd installed it thoroughly and set up several posts and other pages, the search is working fine regarding capital letters. We're still using 1.3.6.1, so I'm not sure what fixed it. All I know is that the problem was present on a fresh install of uBlogsy 1.3.6.1, but now it's gone.
Same problem here, I started a new thread because I think this might be being overlooked because it's marked as solved.
I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a couple of weeks and still can't figure out what's wrong here, even tried deleting the examine indexes and umbraco.config file and republishing all nodes, but nothing has worked so far.
The weird thing that I've found is that it seems that the search will pick up the post if the capitalized word is the very first word of the post title or exists somewhere in the post in all lowercase, but other than that, no search turns up a result where the word is capitalized in the title or post body.
I'm running uBlogsy version 2.1.1.0 and Umbraco version 4.8.1

I'm having the same problem on umbraco v 4.7.2 and either with uBlogsy version 1.3.6.1 or 2.1.1.0.

Please let me know if you have any insights!
Hi Ed,
I didn't waste my time and end up using XSLT Search which works perfectly well.
Thanks Den,
I had thought about that too and may go that route if this doesn't get solved.
