I am in the process of developing a site and am using your great blog package.
Two days ago I was happily creating new blog posts and these were being automatically sorted in the year / month / day folder structure as expected.
Today I have created blog posts but they are no longer being automatically moved into date folders.
My site is v6.1.6 and I have used the Web Forms 3.02 version of uBlogsy.
I have downloaded the uDateFoldersy.dll and applied to the site - did a full restart of my laptop to ensure the new file would be referenced. But this hasn't fixed the problem.
I haven't changed the alias of any document types but have accessed the document types to make other changes.
Are you able to please confirm the alias names and do you have any other ideas as to why the functionality would have suddenly stopped.
I also am experiencing this issue. I haven't looked into it a lot yet, but what I have discovered is that the date folders are created for the first post in a month. Subsequent posts created for a specific month end up in the correct month but don't get the day folder. It appears that things were working normally for quite some time before this problem showed up.
I discovered that in my situation, the problem only shows up if I create the post on a year folder. My structure looks like this:
Blog -> Date Folder -> Month Folder -> Day Folder -> Post
When I create the post on the 'Blog' level, the post is correctly sorted into the correct year/month/day folders. In my uDateFoldersy.config file, I have specified the Blog node as the root.
It looks like the date foldering only works really consistently when you right-click-create the posts on the RootDocTypeAlias. It would be pretty cool to have the auto foldering work at any level because I accidentally click the year folder all the time. I'm probably going to disable the ability to create posts under the year, month, and day folders.
... 10 min later ...
Just disabled the ability to create the posts under the year, month, and day. Now users are forced to create posts under the root. Things are working great so far. Let me know if anyone finds any cooler solutions.
I am on umbraco 6.1.6 using ublogsy v302 webforms when i create the post at root or via the dashboard control it does not create the date folders. No errors also in my datefolder config its turned on and its using the uBlogsyLanding. Anyone any ideas?
Ok, so we had another site that we are working on, v6.1.6 and uBlogsy 3.0.2 Webforms, and locally the posts were creating in Date Folders just fine. When we moved it into our test environment, the Blog Posts did not show up on the site so we had to republish them. Now in this new environment the Date Folders don't get created, not if we create from the Dashboard or from the Blog node.
@Ismail @Carrie - What exactly did you download and rebuild? Can you share the link that you used to the source?
I tried downloading uBlogsy and rebuilding but when I deployed it - it generated much more that just the uBlogsy dlls like I was expecting. At any rate I copied the uBlogsy, uHelpsy & uLoremsy dll's from the freshly built app and overwrote those in my bin folder but with no luck, it actually made things worse so I rolled back for now.
Everything works great in this installation with uBlogsy except for the date folder creation issue as explained by the OP.

Bump....
Have you found a fix for this issue? We have a brand new install of ublogsy 3.02 on Umbraco 6.1.6 and have the same issue.
We also seem to be having an issue where the blog takes forever to load. Have you experienced that?
Hi Carrie
No I haven't sorry - still waiting on a response from the project owner...
Cheers, Nigel

Does that help?
Has anyone heard anything about this yet?
Carrie,
I downloaded the source and rebuilt and it works now for me.

Thank you Ismail!!!! That worked for us!

Hi Roger,
I think this is what we downloaded and rebuilt: https://bitbucket.org/anthonydotnet/ublogsy/src/07e0c9730a0b7ee98ddd70432dd99d189250682b/?at=mvc-webforms
We initially installed uBlogsy_Webforms_3.0.2 from the download page and then replaced the dlls with the build from the source above.
Hope that helps!
Carrie
I also tried the rebuild and it did not fix the issue permanently, have raised a new post with extra detail: http://our.umbraco.org/projects/starter-kits/ublogsy/ublogsy-bugs/50513-uBlogsy-with-uDateFoldersy-new-blog-entries-created-outside-of-date-folders

Hi,
I want to change default URL that is generating from uBlogsy.
mysite.com/blog/2014/september/05/newpost.aspx to mysite.com/blog/.../newpost.aspx.
Is there any way or any setting to do this in uBlogsy?
Thanks in advance.
