I was just wondering why Umbraco Users weren't used for the Blog authors. This would be useful for permissions. Have you considered this? Will it ever be a part of uBlogsy's future?
It never actually occured to me to do that. It is an idea that makes sense. However, there are companies who have multiple people using the same login credential.
Originally I made it a text string because a client asked asked to be able to have multiple authors in a post. Then I made it a multi-node tree picker so you can have more author info.
I may revisit this idea after umbraco 7 is released, as a lot of stuff is changing in the UI.
