    Live Writer?

Looks like a great package, so firstly thank you.

Just installed it and looks like I can easily customise it to what I require for my website. Quick question/feature request though - does it/will it work with Windows Live Writer?

    Hey guys

uBlogsy has no current support for Live writer. I have not considered that people would use Live writer, but if you can point me towards some examples of how to get it all wired up then it might become a possiblity.

    Thanks

I came across this yesterday. I've done a test and it seems to work out of the box if you point your channel to the current year folder. If you're using month folders than you would have to change this setting 12 times a year. I just have to figure out how to put the content in the correct place on the fly.

One issue is that tagging will not work. Any thoughts?

I have managed to get it working myself useing this method however i dont think this is a solution as posts need to be stored in a logical order especially if your posting a few times a day, is there anyway of making the posts automatically get put in the right year/month/day folder on the fly?

It is quite easy to change a node's parent on a save/new event.

I'll have to experiement with it. Ideally you want to publish to the root node using live writer. Then on a save/new event move that node to the correct place.

You could try it yourself by extending ApplicationBase if you want :)

I have the solution :) you install this package http://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/datefolder and select uBlogsy-Post as the doc type to sort then chnage the doc type of uBlogsy-Folder:Blog to allow uBlogsy-Post as a child node, now any blog post created at the root is automatically sorted into year/month/day :)

One last thing, is there there a way to create blog post's from the Dashboard?

    Nice find.

I'll take a closer look at that project after this set of features.

As for the dashboard, that is one thing I'll have released soon :)
