I just wanted to thank Anthony for the great project! I have recently migrated my website to Umbraco and was able to save a lot of time because of this project.
In case anyone would like to see the result, here is the freshly launched Umbraco / uBlogsy powered blog of my website:
On a side-note, has anybody else been having trouble editing posts on this forum? Anytime I do it appears to work at first, but then I get a "Error parsing XSLT file: \xslt\forum-commentsList.xslt" after the page auto-refreshes, and the post I tried to edit is still in its original state.
I presume they are working on the forum as I have noticed some slight changes in the WYSISWG editor as well.
May I ask how you set up the categories? The default site uBlogsy created for me has support for tags, but not categories. I'm new to umbraco/uBlogsy so your help is much appreciated.
Hi Taqi: Yes, the support for Categories is already there, you just need to set it up with the categories you want from the developr section. Once you have the categories you want defined in the Developer section like Anthony described, you can then pick the categories you want for each post in the 'Post Info' tab while editing that post.
so i have been tasked to figure out why news items aren't being filtered when clicked on them. such as: "Authors", "All Categories", "Tags". When you click on them, a random articles is displayed. I have been looking around in the forum and on google, i cannot seem to find any good information that tells me how to set that stuff up. Right now they have just articles, and my thought is that i'll have to create a page where the filtered data will be displayed on but i'm not sure how to get from point A - B.
Is there any good articles, resources or would anyone be able to give me pointers to how one would set that up?

Nice looking site Mark!!
Taqi, uBlogsy supports categories. To define your categories go go to developer->datatypes. You'll see a uBlogsy categories data type.
Thank guys!

@Mark , which jquery slider you are using , I would like to use that in my project . By the way your site looks good :)
Thanks! :)
It is an implementation of Scrollable in the Jquery Tools library: http://flowplayer.org/tools/index.html
I added some additional custom jabascript to fade the text on the overlaying text pods with each transition.
Nice skinning.
I think you are right Anthony done a good solid job on this. As a side effect its also got me writing more Razor which can be a bad thing.
I have used his software too on these blogs:
My own: http://blog.promulgate.co.uk/
and for a client of mine

.
Those designs look SWEET!
I agree! Nice work. : )

Mattias did you solve your problem?
I would say it's /app_data/umbraco.config
Stop your app, delete it, start your app, publish all content .
is working on a reply...
